School construction to sideline parking for Cypress Community Festival

Construction activity for upgrades and modernization at Cypress High School will provide a streamlined parking flow and an all-new student quad design. (See below.)

But it will also prevent the use of the Cypress High School parking lot during the Cypress Community Festival.

The parking lots at the Cypress Community Center and Oak Knoll Park fill almost instantly on the morning of the Festival, not least with spaces reserved for entertainers and vendors. (Please be nice to Festival volunteers directing traffic!)

If you arrive to find the driveways to the parking lots at Oak Knoll Park blocked off, look for additional parking further west along Orange Ave., at the Cypress Civic Center, Oxford Academy, or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

A shuttle bus will run between the Festival Grounds at Oak Knoll Park and the parking lots at the Civic Center, Oxford Academy, and the Church.

Construction is also taking place at Oxford Academy. The construction includes new band and choir classrooms, and modernization of STEAM labs, plus security fencing, cameras and locks. This should not interfere with parking.
